ANA JAREN
Ana Jarén is the artist behind beautiful illustrations whose style is perfectly recognizable and unique. Works of art that portray scenes as simple as those of women's own daily lives or others in which they encourage us to travel through the imagination. However, his dedication to the smallest detail is, without a doubt, what has ended up captivating us.
BL:Who is Ana Jarén?
I am a 36 year old illustrator. I was born in Seville, but I have lived in Madrid for years, which I already feel like my home. I love looking at the beauty of everyday life and I savor the small details.

BL: What do you like the most about yourself?
I think listening and trying to empathize with people. This has allowed me to connect with wonderful people, who are very important in my life today.
BL:And what less?
The shyness. I have been a shy person since I was little but over the years I have been working on it. Meeting new people, moving to different cities, different languages has made me become a much less shy person and I am grateful for that.

BL: What is bravery for you?
Facing the fears we all have. Take the bull by the horns and break the insecurities that weigh us down. Being brave is becoming aware of the difficulty of something that seems impossible to us and throwing yourself into it anyway.

BL: A woman you admire?
Dolly Parton. I think she is very smart, beyond the image she can project. Dolly has her own version of feminism, she addressed controversial issues in her lyrics at very early times. And to top it off, she is currently a diva, an icon, idol of many people. Dolly fascinates me.
BL:What is your favorite song?
I have so many... The one I've been listening to on loop lately is Ill Ray (The King) by Kasabian. It is a song that for some reason fills me with energy and gives me a lot of strength.

BL: What is your favorite Black Limba item?
I love the sports clothes I have. I feel really favored and this is something that doesn't always happen to me with sports clothes. I notice that it adapts to my silhouette and feels like a second skin.
